I'm getting the stupid shot tomorrow.

I keep telling her that the medical injections she receives when strapped down should not be coming from a flesh-colored hypodermic needle and definitely should not be administered vaginally. I think the custodian there just grabs an extra doctor's jacket from storage and is playing some mischief on her. And no, Norway's government doesn't give free facials for every hospital visit either!

I don't think they will agree to do that tomorrow, but maybe later on.

I just don't think my psychiatrist is going to do it (he's a stubborn ashole), but if I get depressed again after tomorrow I'm definitely going to talk to them about it.

Antipsychotics, and they don't do that.
They lower your mood.

Maybe, but I just don't want any more medication than necessary. I don't want to gain any more weight. They know about my depression, but my psychiatrist doesn't seem to really care about it. He will argue that it has nothing to do with my medication, just like he argues that my insane weight gain had nothing to do with the medication. It's just stupid because every time I've stopped taking the medication I've lost weight and now that my dosage has been lowered I feel so much better.

Itβs not healthy that you are depressed when on the antipsychotic medication. If they are aware of it and donβt care, thatβs not looking out for your best interest. So maybe lowering the lower dose may help. Advocate for yourself, but in a non confrontational way because in my experience, they are easily offended. I had to push for a different ADHDA medication (slow release as opposed to regular **** which hits you all at once) because it wasnβt working, and Iβd feel dead by the end if the day. These medications are all trial and error and have to be individualized.
Oh, and there is also a shortage of these medications in the US due to a pissing contest between the governing agency, the FDA, and the pharmaceutical companies. ADHD drugs are schedule II drugs which means they have a high probability for misuse and abuse. I have to check in with the neurologist every month and then she calls in the refill. And if my pharmacy doesnβt have either the generic or name brand, I have to call every pharmacy in the area to see if they have them and ask them to hold 60 pills and my doctor will call it in. Talk about stress. But this drug has been a life saver for me. -

I saw my psychiatrist today and he just acted like an as. I brought up lowering the lower dose and he said that was like never happening. The last time I spoke to him he actually asked me how long I wanted to stay on this dose and I said until march because then I've been on the medication for 2 years, and he didn't argue back about it. He goes back and forth like this all the time. The nurse who gave me the medication kept laughing and making jokes about the psychiatrist and it's not the first time that's happened lol. He doesn't get along well with the people he work with either. They think he's weird too. I'm thinking about getting a new psychiatrist if this continues.
Good for you that you feel like your medication works and helps you. I wish I felt like that as well. I think that if I was just depressed and I had to take antidepressants I would feel like the medication worked and helped me. It's different dealing with psychosis and having to take medication that lowers your mood instead. It just doesn't make sense.
