Do you have any idea where exactly she lived in Paris? She died close to her home, in the XVI arrondissement, but I failed to find the exact address. I would like to visit both of these places.

Thanks for the answer. I read on Wikipedia, however, that she "was found dead eleven days later in the back seat of her car, which was parked close to her Paris apartment in the 16th arrondissement". Rue du Bac is far away from the XVI. Are you sure that she hadn't moved somewhere else before her death?

Her car was found at 17 rue du General-Appert.
She lived most of her life in Paris at 108 rue du Bac. She shared this apartment with her husband Romain Gary. Even after their divorce they remained at this address but divided the apartment into two self-contained units. She sold her half in 1979 and was living at 125 rue de Longchamp at the time of her disappearance.
Outside 108 rue du Bac there is a plaque commemorating Gary, who died there in 1980. -

Thank you. During my previous two visits to Paris I have been many times in this area, next time I'll try to find all the three places you mentioned. Have you been to any of them by the way? I think it is a nice experience, early this year I went to see the house of Serge Gainsbourg which is close to Muse d'Orsay, and since I study in London since late October I also found the house in which Freddie Mercury lived and died. I went there on Nov 24th, the 19th anniversary of his death. Some people had been there earlier despite the cold and left candles, pictures and letters:
