Archived from the IMDb Discussion Forums — Rod Serling

    renwest-1 — 15 years ago(May 23, 2010 08:38 PM)

I was riding shotgun in a THETA Cable TV van with my installation partner going east in the left lane, when an exotic, green roadster pulled up along side of us. I yelled out to the driver, "What kind of car is that?" Then an old guy with about a two day growth of whiskers slid back the window, stuck out his head and said, " An Auburn Boat Tail Speedster."
Then I yelled, "Rod Serling!" I was so shocked to see someone who I had admired for years that I forgot what year he said the car was. I don't know if it was a real Auburn from the 1930's or a reproduction they were cranki1908ng out back then but thats beside the point. I got to meet Rod Serling.

        Very cool story.
You can take a horse to water, but you can't climb a ladder with a bell in both hands.

I was 22 at the time. When your young, everybody over the age of 30 is old.

An old guy? Rod was in his late 40's in 1973. Clearly you were older than he was considering that was 40 years ago and I'm assuming you were at least in your 20's back then.
