He's a champagne socialist snob living in an ivory tower. He'll cry his eyes out over Africans or Syrians losing their homes, but when it happens to British people he tells them to shut up. He represents the very worst of the luvvie brigade.

Sheen didn't tell anyone who'd lost their home to shut up. On the programme he hosted, Simon Danczuk said why were we giving so much foreign aid when people in Britain were suffering because of flooding, and Sheen said that only 0.7% of the budget is spent overseas and the other 99.3% is spent in Britain, so this was a non-argument. Danczuk said that British people should be 'our priority', and Sheen said they already were.
Here is a link to an article about the broadcast, as I think it's been a bit misreported:
        http://www.walesonline.co.uk/news/wales-news/michael-sheen-guest-edited-today-10657664
The article also contains a link to the campaign that Sheen's just been fronting, about homeless teenagers
        in Britain
who are put up in dodgy accommodation. I don't understand how anyone who knows what he's actually been up to would say he doesn't care about underprivileged British people.

Took the words right out of my mouth. The UK really needs to un beep itself.
          Mobin couldn't hack it.

As soon as actors start spouting personal and invariably lefty political views their cinematic appeal both past and present is greatly reduced for me, often to the point of actually avoiding their films.

I, over here on the other side of the pond- agree with you with both British and American actors.
They become so out of touch
Clammoring to be good guys? If only they knew how real British live/Americans live.
Yet let them cheer for the terror. All they'd get from them is a separated head!

I applaud Sheen for standing up to his views which is more than I can say for some of the tosspots on this thread.
                It's that man again!!

I applaud Sheen's convictions as well! It makes me wonder what these posters have done for the "suffering" British! Probably not a bloody thing.

BigBadEd, what have you done for the UK flood victims? Are you one?
