I got to meet John Wesley Shipp on June 2nd at the Chiller Theatre Expo in Secaucus, NJ. He was very friendly and chatted extensively with fans who came to his table. I had him autograph my boxed set of the Flash and the base for my "John Shipp Hero Model Kit" (a model of him as the Flash). He seemed pleased by the idea that someone had done a model of him!

I met him at the Atlanta comics expo over the weekend, he was a very nice guy. He thanked me for having the "Twin Streaks" episode of The Flash as my favorite, he seemed to like that one too.

I agree that is too personal for anyone to even suggest to bring up. Most people dont go around asking a straigth person so are you having sex with so and so. ANyway I wish I had known about these conventions. Id love to have met him. It didnt even occur to me when those DVD's came out about that and I dont know if he still goes to any of these things.

Well since I wrote that comment I did get to attend the Chiller Convention in NJ back in April 2009 and I met John and talked to him for quite a while. He was as everyone has stated on here a super nice guy and so easy to talk to. I talked about first seeing him on "The Guiding Light" and have enjoyed him in that as well as "The Flash" and "SIsters". I had not seen "Dawson's Creek" but he reminded me I still have the chance since it is out on DVD. I took a picture of him. I noticed how animated & Full of energy he is when he was walking through the lobby after the convention was over and always with a smile. What a truly genuine person.

I am going to the Daytime Stars and Strikes event this Sunday in New York City. He has just been added to the list of stars attending. I am hoping I get a chance to meet him. He was the reason I started watching Guiding Light in the first place and watched him on ATWT. I am excited to possibly meet him since I really enjoyed him as Kelly Nelson.

Not sure if you will read this, and just now reading this almost 7 years later but if you do how did it go. I loved him on the Guiding Light. It was great to talk to him about it and he said he was invited to the reunion for when the show was going to go off the air but he did not attend. Since I met him of course he has been on the new Flash series and I have enjoyed watching him on that.

Nearly eight years on from this rude and inappropriate question, I hope you have grown up at least as much as to see just how meaningless, immature, and none-of-your-damned-business your question/comment is. In general, Americans don't want to nor are they required to share with the world their personal private business. Clearly, John has exercised his right to the same expectation of privacy as any REAL American. If you haven't grown up enough to understand this, maybe you should move somewhere more in touch with your point-of-view, like Putin's Russia; maybe he'll bring back full-on Stalin-ism and you will FINALLY feel right at home.
