people are always posting on the lost girl board that Anna isnt the right choice for the bo part, and sometimes suggesting Ksenia Solo would be more suited! I for one think she is great as Bo and in fact everyone cast fits their roles perfectly.

She's sexy as hell, just not pretty.
This is all depending on who you compare it to. If you pulled an Anna Silk in real life you'd be over the moon and everyone would be jealous of you. But in TV land where people are ridiculously pretty she's not up there.
She is also too old, they should have cast someone in their 20s cause if it goes, say, another 3 seasons she'll be in her 40s!
I like her though, think she plays the role well as it's not her beauty that sucks people in but her actual powers.
Bauer vs. Bourne, that is the question. -

Yes, I agree with other posters that Anna seems more attractive over time. I think she has an unusual look, but is also alluring. I think people are more conscious of her age because of the large age gap between Anna and Ksenia.

My only issue with her looks is that her nose is somewhat bigger & pointier than I generally like, but otherwise I find her breathtaking, and I can't believe she's pushing 40! I assumed 1c84she was in her mid-20s.

Posts like these are obnoxious. What i find most funny is that anyone who takes the time to pick at the way someone looks is pretty much advertising their own self-esteem issues. Either that or there is definitely something wrong in their lives - like their current relationship, rejection from others, or whatever. People who are happy, content, and satisfied with themselves and the way they look simply tend not to resort to such behavior. Also, everyone likes different things. For instance - if the other actress didn't have such mesmerizing eye color and just some plain, unremarkable shade, would some of you still be falling all over yourselves? People should let go of the age thing too - if you didn't know her birthdate many of you would probably never think to criticize it. You know, your life doesn't stop the day you hit 30, 40, 50, 60 and beyond and it shouldn't have to.

Well, that's the thing she's not supposed to look realistic, she's supposed to be the most beautiful and sexy person in the room. She's certainly very attractive but she's not really that memorable. 2000
At the risk of being called jealous, unfulfilled or hateful, I don't think they're capitalizing on her good features. Her face is very angular and thin and her eyes are a little small I think the "poof" they've got her wearing in Season One makes her narrow face even more narrow and the harsh eyeliner makes her eyes even smaller. They need to soften her face a little, she's already got a credible figure for a sex demon. -

the reason(IMO) that some don't find her as attractive a5b4s others i believe has
to do with facial symmetry, lots of studies done about it. Silk's face is
asymmetrical, part of it different than the rest. it turns some people off, sometimes
subconsciously, lol. both Lauren and McKenzie's faces are perfectly symmetrical, which would
make those people think they are prettier and silk

I'm sorry, but is everyone that posts on IMDB under 25? Well, I'm 53 and I think she's very attractive and quite sexy.
That said, what I really don't understand is why it is so hard to see real beauty for what it is when the person doing the looking is in their teens & twenties. I mean, some women have timeless beauty at any age. Take Sophia Loren for example. To me, she has always been (and still is) one of the most beautiful women I have ever seen, and she's 79 now. The thing is, I thought that even back in the 70's when I was a teen and she was 38. But for some reason, it seems like today people (on here at le2000ast) think that if the actress is older than 30 then she's just way too old to play anything but someones mother.
Anna Silk is talented, beautiful, voluptuous, and sexy. In all respects, she plays the role of Bo very well. Her acting is good, she handles the "sexy" scenes nicely, and she kicks butt in the fight scenes. Maybe someday when you all grow up you will realize how good she really is.
Oh, and by the way I think she has great legs and rocks those tall boots. -

My argument here is that she doesn't HAVE to be the sexiest creature in the room. Bo is fae and that entails that she can manipulate others' sexual interest in her, it should say nothing about her physical appearance. Dyson isn't nearly hairy and animalistic (not to mention buff enough) to prove himself a strong werewolf and Tamsin isn't objectively "warrior looking" enough to be a valkyrie, and what about Hale showed him to be a Siren?
This argument is only made by those who are looking for a hotter girl. I mean, I never saw this kind of uproar when we saw Bo's mom, the most badass succubus ever she was not hotter than Bo, or is there something here that dictates only the young have to meet your standards of "hot" ???? -

Late to the conversation but - when I watched the first couple episodes without having gotten to know her character or her well I thought the same thing. She's certainly not ugly - but she's not remarkable or "beautiful" or "stunning." As I continued to watch with each episode I found her more and more attractive. She has sex appeal and she is hot. Not all women who are hot are actually very commercially attractive - they just have a quality and a way of presenting themselves is compelling. She's got that in spades and I never question her attractiveness anymore.

I agree, she seems average-looking to me. I just watched the pilot and several people told her she was gorgeous/pretty/stunning, etc. and I didn't get it
But then I thought, maybe she's
supposed
to be average, and her powers make other people see her as gorgeous? Because 111cif she was amazingly beautiful, it wouldn't seem that out of the ordinary that she could seduce all these people. But since she's
not
gorgeous, her powers of seduction seem more impressive.
