Just heard in Australia, sad day. Remember my youth with "Not The Nine O'clock News" and a very funny "Morons From Outer Space" a sad loss.
God doesn't exist! The ' Hokey Cokey ' is what its all about?

Would be nice is the BBC decided to show his much underrated sitcom "colins sandwich" as a tribute? But I kind of doubt that!

I worked for Mel / Talkback for about a year in the early eighties. My first encounter (as an employee) was probably the oddest I've ever had, in good way.
I remember driving his Rolls, through Hyde Park and ending up in the midst of a protest march of striking nurses. They were scowling at this mid twenties guy driving a Rolls, until I grabbed a flyer and put it in the windshield, smiles, thumbs up, and the odd cheer from then on.
My recollection of Mel is that he was a warm, generous man, with hands as soft as his heart.
                              Gods speed Mel.
