Christy Carlson Ramono- just a few of the female stars to leave the Disney Channel.to never be heard from again. I know Kirsten Storms is doing well on GH; I just think it's weird, with all these female's leaving Disney and going on to lustrious industy careers (Lindsay Lohan, Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato, Raven-Symone, Hilary Duff, Vanessa Hudgens, etc.), how some never reach that level of fame though they've launched from the same platform. Especially when Kirsten Storms is so pretty, and definately has enough acting chops to survive 6 years of soap television. Just rambling..

All of the other girls that you listed were/are aspiring singers as well. I think that, coupled with the fact that ever since Hilary Duff, Disney has been working like a machine cranking all out all of these child stars who can sing, act, and dance. Kirsten never aspired to sing, at least not that I'm aware of. I too envisioned bigger things for her career, but I think she loves the soap genre and steady work/schedule that it's given her. I believe she definitely could have easily been a big movie star because she's so talented and has magnetic on-screen presence, but for whatever reason she's not. Maybe she doesn't want to be. Maybe her management sucks. Maybe she's just not destined to be. Oh well. Still love her. Glad she's still around.

I think it's a mixture of just how different Disney handles their branding of shows and how that's expanded [compare the Hannah Montana empire to Even Stevens or the Zenon films] which basically means they're not being launched from the same platform, as well as personal management that each actress has in explaining why some stick around and others do not.
also being well known doesn't exactly translate to a lustrous industry career, I would argue none of the people you listed has yet to truly prove themselves outside of Disney (with the exception of Lindsay Lohan because I don't think she has such close tie to the Disney Channel in launching her career despite doing films for them, or Raven because she was known and had that capitol before the Disney Channel as well) in terms of actual longevity and success in the industry.

I think you underate Kristen's career. Since her youth she has been a working actress on a network TV show. Soaps aren't what they once were, but she has made a living at her intended profession for going on two decades, that is pretty good
Of the group, Romano is the one I feel for. She may have been the most talented of all the Disney girls of her time, and while she has done things her career does not match her beginning.
In regard to Brenda Song, while she did alot of work for Disney and was good in most of it, I don't think she had alot of acting chops to continue beyond her youth, which I think her career has borne out.
