People just want to pay their respects somehow and posting on IMDB is the only way for some to do that.
But its sad that trolls who are most likely inbred teenagers feel that they have to be disrespectful.

I agree. The past couple years there have been about 10 regular posters on Donna Summer's boards. I welcome all the new ppl who want to grieve, but I don't sweat the trolls they will be back to hating on Lady Gaga and Obama before too long!
(you can also post thoughts on other imdb pages like Giorgio Moroder or Brooklyn Sudano u will find only real fans there.) -

Don't sweat it. Some people are more sentimental than others, and sometimes the get a little carried away. Nothing more than that. It's hardly worse than going out of one's way to be obnoxious about somebody dying.

Actually I was very pleasantly surprised to see far fewer tr5b4olls on Donna's board than is the norm for when a celebrity passes away. Of course, part is this is that most trolls (than far from ALL trolls, some of the worst on IMDb appear to be well into middle-age) are young and probably no little if anything about her but still her IMDb board has been fairly respectable and even the handful of negative comments are not as bad as many of this type often are.

Plus they crave attention and love to start fights so when a person's message board is "no fun anymore" they move on!
I'm not sure what side of the issue they're on, but to the person who said something about not liking her music.. What's wrong with you? If someone dies and I don't like their movies or music I ignore the story! Why would you post on a thread full of her fans and say negative things? If you didn't like her why are you wasting time even reading the threads? That's stupid and pointless!
It's okay to not like someone's music, but when you go on a message board where people are grieving and say negative things.. THAT makes you a troll! It's like going to a funeral of someone you didn't like and telling everyone how you feel. If you're the type of person who would do that, seek therapy.
