Well no, that is how you
    identify
. Many of the characters on Daniel's show "Rescue Me" identify very strongly as Irish, and they were born in America. I identify very strongly as Scottish/Irish, and I was born in Australia and have never even returned to Scotland or Ireland. 🙂

    But I fear
    I have nothing to give
I have so much to lose
    Here in this lonely place
    Tangled up in our embrace
There's nothing I'd like better than
to fall to fall to fall

I did a search and found these
Daniel Sunjata is of German, Irish and African-American lineage. He revealed to us that he was adopted when he was two-months old after his biological mother abandoned him. 5b4His adoptive mother, a world history professor who died in 1996, gave him the middle name Sunjata, which he uses as his professional surname. "It literally means 'hungry lion' and it's Malian, named for the king who founded the empire of Mali in about 1100 A.D."
        http://www.thecrusade.net/words/mt-archives/000612.shtml

The Empire of Mali existed approximately from the 12th century to the late 15th century in the West African area between two rivers, the Senegal and the Niger.

Condon is an Irish name (Daniel Sunjata Condon)

That's some interesting research. 'Sunjata' seems to fit as he is hungry for information about 9/11 and spirituality in a most positive way.

He definitely looks like he has some African ancestry.
