If you are going to post something like that, please give us some specific reasons why so we can have an intelligent discussion. He has gotten the short end of the stick on roles outside of Oz - even his character on Fox's JUSTICE was very minor and wasn't too well rounded. They didn't really give us too much information on the character.

I didn't like the Kareem Said role he had on Oz. He made Said a raging lunatic that made mountains out of molehills and he acted as if he was above everyone else, even the warden. Kareem BROKE a law so he's just like all the other inmates - they were found GUILTY in a court of law. But Kareem always acted like he was doing it for the greater good, etc.
You can't do too much "good" for the planet in prison.

That was the point of the character. Said thought of himself as the martyr type and also happened to be very well educated. He used his knowledge and faith in Allah to help himself get through prison, improve life in the can and to help out his fellow prisoners. I thought it was an interesting facet to the story of Said's attempts at reform and his non-violent ways towards his fellow prisoners (I'm speaking of pre-mid season 4). And Walker's acting made it all the more compelling. I also felt his demise was rather abrupt and could have been resolved better.
As for the thread question, Walker's a superb actor. I guess I watched different shows and movies than the rest of you. -

Indian Elvis
I couldn't agree more!
I actually just typed the same thing in a different post (I believe it was the Oz message boards).
Eammon is a w2000onderful actor that I don't think is given much opportunity to stretch, but to me, he does the term "character actor" complete, utter, true justice.

this person obviously has some personal reason for not liking eamonn walker. not that i care what it is, but they might have made their point better with some constructive reasons why he thinks so and with what authority he has to say so.
obviously looking for attention, so why not post something that is going to cause a definite response (well, it usually works).
what an annoyingly bad poster. this dude sucks. -

I loved him on Oz, one of the many underrated shows to have existed. That and his other underrated show, Kings. During and after Oz I was trying to find other shows he was in because I was so impressed by him. That show had some really good actors.
Eamonn Walker has a strong presence as an actor. That might come from his theatrical background, but presence is never a bad thing in an actor. -

wrong he is an excellent actor, he makes a brilliant villain and if Hwood is more than happy to embrace more african americans as the lead bad guys in their movies, this guy should be top of the list
