He is not wrong to want his kids safe, away from supernatural, problem is, the kids ARE supernatural. Seline coming after them had nothing to do with Caroline being vampire, or even Damon and Stefan, she came after them because of what the kids are. The vampires saved them from the psychic witches. If Caroline and Stefan weren't involved, the kids would be gone.

And not Caroline is attracting bad things, that would be the Salvatore bros.
And of course the right way to protect supernatural beings is to take away her loving vampire mother; I guess Alaric must've bumped his head too many times lately.

Exactly.
But he was too eager to get into her panties and actually thought making a family with his ex student could work. Now she dumped him and messed up his family that she had no place being part of in the first place. No one said she HAD to raise them.
I really think Alaric should have raised his kids as a single parent and met someone along the way. Someone closer to his age. Maybe another mother with kids.
I agree that since his kids are supernatural, it's dumb to tell Caroline to stay away now since she can actually help protect them better than he can. If the kids were human, I would be fine with him leaving and taking them somewhere else.

Exactly! Seline was already aware that the girls were witches . That had nothing to do with Caroline, nor Damon. Rick hire her,and what would he had done if Damon and Stefan hadn't been there? Call doorMatt? Neither Alaric, or Matt are supernatural. The only reason why they are still alive is because they have supernatural friends to save their ass.

While Alaric may be right to criticize her involvement with Stefan/Damon, he was COMPLETELY out of line to say that to her. She CARRIED THEM. She GAVE BIRTH TO THEM. And most importantly, she RAISED them.

Alaric really don't have a leg to stand on in that regards , since Damon was HIS friend. He's just as much involved in Stefan and Damon's life then she is. The only difference is that Stefan is dating Caroline,and Damon no longer need Alaric as his lap dog.
Alaric mentioned the babies being his and Jo's. But No died before she gave birth. It was Caroline who gave them life. She did not have to do that. It was because of Caroline that he even has kids. Alaric couldn't protect Jo,so how is he going to be able to protect the twins? By moving them away from all things supernatural? How he's going to know who's supernatural ,and who isn't? He hire the Nanny Seline and how did that work out for him?

Haven't seen that episode yet, but if he said that he was out of order. Caroline carried them, gave birth to them, and raised them. If that doesn't make them her kids, I don't know what does.
Also, parts of this show are incredibly predictable. I knew that friend of Alaric's was the other siren before we found out.
