I love Waters, singing and writing, but I also love Gilmore singing and his guitar works Together they complement each other and together they're perfect but if I had to choose between the two of them I'd have to go for Roger. I loved so much too see them together in Live 8! I wish they would get together again, but I doubt that will ever happen

David's singing rules, especially singing with Rick (like in the song 'Echoes').
Roger's lyrics, vision, and production are the best of all time.
As for the music, it takes all of them to make it work. Roger can write a hell of a riff, David can make it twice as good with his inventive guitar, and Rick and Nick fill in any voids and then some.
        Collectively, the best ever.
Seperately, they are only as good as Floyd was with Syd. After Syd and before Roger left was the best band of all time.
And 'The Final Cut' is awesome! It was 'The Wall pt. 2'. If you love 'The Wall', you'll love 'The Final Cut'just not one right after the other.

          If anyone is in doubt about the main man they should read the following article;
          http://www.wicasta.com/pinkfloyd/penthouse1988.html
Roger comes up with the concepts he's the preacher of the group and spends more time home writing with Pink Floyd in mind. I know what I give to our sound, and he knows it, too. It's not a question of him forcing his ideas on us. I get my ideas across as much as I want to. They would use more of my music if I wrote it.

Definitely Roger Waters (yes, in my opinion).

Personally I prefer Roger for a couple of reasons. First, it seems to me from interviews I've read that David always tries to discredit Roger and say stuff like he doesn't like Dark Side of the Moon and he thinks The Wall was bad except for Comfortably Numb. But he still doesn't mi2000nd taking money for singing all of Dark Side of the Moon and the most famous Floyd songs, that were mostly written by Roger.
Second, the main reason I love Pink Floyd is the lyrics and the themes in their music. Unlike most people, I think The Final Cut (which was basically done by Roger on his own) is a fantastic album. I think Roger took over and did a fantastic job after Syd left and it kinda pisses me off how the other guys criticize him and say they don't think he was all that good. Also, I think he's a very good musician as well as a great lyricist.
That being said, I do like David very much, he's without a doubt an incredibly talented guy and I absolutely fell in love with him with the Live at Pompeii movie. It's really a shame that they can't work out their differences, because they really made a great team.
You and I and dominoes, time goes by

And that's just like the beginning of Dave's comments putting down Roger, that's exactly what bothers me, when Dave goes on trying to convince the world he was the whole of Floyd, too bad he tries to convince them with "A Momentary Lapse", or "Division Bell", his words don't match his work, he's a gifted guitar player though, but he can't create good music on his own.

I prefer Roger for all the reasons already stated.
Dave may have been a better singer/musician overall, but Roger's voice is definitly something special aswell. His sad/downtrodden voice is perfect for albums like Animals, The Wall etc.
Also, about solo albums, David's new album "On an Island" is one of the most boring albums I've ever heard (and I LOVED his other 2 albums) whereas Roger's albums are very interesting.

People often say Dave's voice was/is better, but i think they are just different, and even like Roger's dramatic singing style bette.
"On An Island" is so cheesy, "On A Mall" would be a better suited title.

its tough to decide. gilmour had the guitar. waters had the words. they both had the voice. i mean in the end, as a writer, i appreciate waters more, because of his meaningful lyrics. as a musician, i appreciate gilmour more, because of his incredible sound. damn it i cant choose!!
