Negativity, hate and comparisons

@erlavari6-930-416949,
Great post there. I have no idea why so many people feel the need to be negative to celebrities, especially someone as pretty and talented as Emma Watson. Unless, that is, it's that age old need of those who are neither to tear down those who are both. For some reason, if you are attractive and talented (whether in high school, college, entertainment, or the business world) there are always people who try to make themselves feel better by tearing you down. I can't speak to the origins of the phenomena, just to its existence. And unfortunately, the anonymity of the internet encourages it.
If every single person on this site had to post a profile that showed who they were, where they lived, where they worked, etc, I can guarantee you that most of them would either not open their mouths at all, or would think twice before posting something because so much of it is absolutely shameful. But because no one knows who they are, they feel safe to spew the things that are lurking inside of them out into the light of day.
The best way to deal with them is to ignore them. Don't give their words validation by reading them or responding to them. Focus on those who truly do question things or are mostly positive.
Anyway, that's just my two cents. Thanks again for your thoughtful and well written post. Shows the kind of person you are.
I do not really care what others have to say. But, sometimes, I need to point how ridiculous it is. -

What you've basically said is she has a very small fan base and most people don't like her to the point they are livid about it, lol.
I don't think it's all her fault. She was a child star and acted like it in most of her promos growing up; so worried about not making the transition from child to adult actor she pushed it a little early. Instead of looking mature it came across as arrogant and vain to many. She's trying out adult roles now, but one problem is she can't swing it - she's 26 and looks 17. She's a good actor, but not great. Taking on these roles she isn't ready for hurts her career. Like most child actors, she was first hired to act like herself, because you can't expect a kid to be good enough to change their whole personality for a role. I think she has confused her acting skills with really good casting. If she would quit taking on complex/political/romantic roles and maybe take on a comedy or something light for awhile, more people would like her. I think she might have surrounded herself with people that might not have her best interests to heart, or maybe she really is vain. -

Watch her interviews from the time she turned about 20 and look at the body of work since HP, it's almost like she wants to star in serious art house indies playing the victim. With over 100 cameos and interviews to her credit - she has more experience being a celebrity than an actor. Personally? Hey, she has over 15 years in the business, I'd like to see her stretch in a performance. Maybe a different genre, she could use the exposure.

It's nowhere mentioned anymore because it's not a scandal. She used this offshore bank account to buy a house in London, keeping her anonimity to ensure her safety. Otherwise, fans would find out where the house is located and she wouldn't have her privacy. She's got all the paperwork needed to show that she has no tax bennefits from the company used for the purchase. It is no longer necessary for this issue to be discussed, as it is proven that she hasn't done anything unethical or illegal

So you think she's guilty, despite evidence to the contrary.
Frankly, I don't blame her for doing it. Having some person you don't know show up at your house can scare the crap out of you. It's how Mark David Chapman got to John Lennon. -

Evidence to the contrary? . Like if you can't work this sort of thing so you don't look bad Anyways, like one colleague said to me a while ago "it's cheaper to keep her.." Then again, discussing tax loopholes on a message board. Once you get old and do business, you don't buy into PR moves.
But yeah, you are right, she's innocent, I mean crying on the UN for some beep campaign.
But yeah, like if there was ever gonna be a press release stating real facts
Unless you are gonna be invisible for the rest of your life, someone wants to shoot you, they will find you Sad, but true. -

Evidence to the contrary?
Yeah-stuff like the British government saying she complied with the law.
But yeah, you are right, she's innocent, I mean crying on the UN for some beep campaign.
Which has nothing to do with your claim about her taxes
But yeah, like if there was ever gonna be a press release stating real facts
And by "real facts", you mean "stuff that I agree with".
Unless you are gonna be invisible for the rest of your life, someone wants to shoot you, they will find you Sad, but true.
True-but that doesn't mean you have to make it easy for them. But even beyond that, who wants to spend a large part of their day answering the door for people who just want to say "Hi, and if it's OK, could I get an autograph and a photo?" -

It would be interesting to investigate if all this crap started when she involved in political issues I'm pretty sure it started then, because the last time I checked her message board was years ago and I don't remember all this hating (not in this level).
I read some of the posts and the arguments are truly deeply sad as humanity we still have a lot to learn about discrimination (all kinds). I understand why people hates the name of feminism, even if I agree with the description of the movement according to BlomkvistM97, I really disagree with the name, because it's parcial. I prefer to talk about queer theories or other movements questioning all gender roles trying to understand them instead of judge and punish. At least, I'm happy she is part of a movement which includes both primary genders in its name but that is no the reason I like to watch some of her movies and dislike others. -

For someone so "smart' she does a lot of dumb thingsShe lost the role in La La Land because of her demands, demanding they do pre production in England, etc. Also using the death of Alan Rickman to promote her feminist agenda lacked class.
All of these things would be forgiven if she had the "it" factor that makes you want to watch someone on screen, IMO she lacks it. -

You have to inform yourself better. She left lll not because of demands but becaus e she chose batb instead. And while LLL dure will have more successo with critics Batb will do about 10 times LLL's boxoffice and will boost her fame and popularity
