Do you think Tom Welling is better than Henry Cavill?

I have no interest in watching Welling ruin Superman any more than he already has.
And neither does Welling himself.
How's that?

Ruin? You're an idiot.
Wether you liked Smallville or not, IT BROUGH IN NEW SUPERMAN FANS. If you didn't like the series, that's fine. but be happy that's it was a series that brought more fans into the Superman fandom or else Superman would've slowly faded away in the publics conscious. Something Zack Snyder himself even acknowledged. -

Superman will never fade from public conscious, or if he will it won't be until after you and I are dead. Smallville or not, Superman is too iconic to fade away like that.

Tom Welling was Clark Kent in Smallville, he played Superman for like 5 minutes in the series finale, almost every time he flew in Smallville, it was because he was under the influence of Red Kryptonite. I started watching Smallville when it aired it's first episode on the WB, that was like 5, or 6 years prior to the WB becoming the CW. I didn't jump into watching Smallville in Season 2, 3, or 7, I didn't wait until it got canceled to watch it, I was watching it every week, when they aired a new episode. I know that a lot of you who commented didn't start watching Smallville when it aired it's Pilot episode, then you say that the first two seasons suck. Tell me, what series starts out on the top, even The 100, The 4400, among other TV Series didn't start out perfect, all TV Series has to start slow to be able to tell the beginning of the story, they can't rush a story because the audience gets bored. If Smallville sucked like a lot of you think and/or say, it wouldn't have lasted for 10 seasons. When it comes to 60 minutes TV Series, they make it 3 to 7 seasons on average, the only 60 minute TV Series that has made it past season 10 in the past couple of years is Bones and Supernatural, those are two out of hundreds, maybe even thousands of 60 minute TV Series in the past two to three years.

Tom Welling played Clark Kent was hardly ever Superman and if we are being nice and want to say he was Superman for the later part of the show he was the worst most emo most obtuse more ironic Superman ever. People say Henry's Superman is mopey but he is nothing compared to Smallville's. Unfortunately the show went on so long and had so many characters that needed to be built up unfortunately it was at Clark's expense.
In addition Tom is a TV actor and he was never successful in movies.
Tom has his place in Superman lore/history he was great in the role he was hired to play and that wasnt Cavill's Superman. Cavill is playing a man of action, thoughtful, questioning Superman who is possibly the most masculine of all incarnations.- BVS 2. TWS 3. Avenger

I've not watched all of Smallville yet but I can say that in the first and second seasons alone Tom Welling is a good actor and emotes more than Henry Cavill was ever allowed to do in the reboot that split fans down the middle. I will even go as far as saying in the pilot by itself Tom Welling shows a range of emotions that no other 'recent' actors who have played the character on the big screen have gotten to do and I went into the series thinking a mannequin would be playing the lead. So I'm not really seeing where you get plank of wood from unless you mean Superman from Man of Steel. But then again I don't favor any of these actors who have played Superman and can judge accordingly.

Well then you should know by now that MOS has Superman in it.
I dare you to say the same about Smallvile.
Oh, and show me the clip where Cavill acts as bad as the [redacted] clip above. I watched MOS plenty of times and missed that

What is 'redacted'? You sound mad. I don't have a hard on for any of the Superman actors so I don't get offended when someone says their acting sometimes sucks. I will watch something without bias and will either agree that their acting could have been a lot better or that they brought their game.
So if Tom Welling sucks in other scenes then he sucks. It's no hair off my back and I don't get angry at someone for pointing it out or expressing a different opinion
.
Cavill's character didn't say anything in MOS that was clever or inspiring. He let Jonathan Kent and Zod make final decisions for him that he had ample opportunity to step up and do things his way instead of theirs. Not someone I'd follow into the sun like Jor El claims. So therefore he wasn't really interesting to me. If that makes some people angry I don't care since I can accept that people have different opinions and that tom welling churned out sh#t performances in the seasons I haven't gotten to yet without feeling the need to get defensive about it as if I'm his agent or lover like most fans do with Superman actors
As for superman being in MOS that's up in the air since people claim he wasn't superman yet going as far to say he isnt fully formed and his learning curb is happening while he's in the suit. He doesn't have his sh#t together for most of the film and doesn't establish a different persona until the end which matches up with Smallville . So which is it?
Some shoddy deliveries were in the scenes where Clark is on Zod's ship and hallucinating. You can blame the script. -

I'll say it again: I'm. A. Superman. Fan.
You see the quote below? The comic book Superman started in 1938.
There is more to Superman than most people know. And if something comes along and throws it all over the side for "Dawson's Creek with superpowers" then yes, expect me to get "mad".

5b4I will DARE say that about Smallville because SUPERMAN IS ALWAYS SUPERMAN NO MATTER WHAT POINT HE'S AT IN HIS LIFE, WITH OR WITHOUT A SUPERHERO MONIKER - IT'S STILL THE SAME beep CHARACTER. AND HENRY CAVILL WAS NOT PLAYING SUPERMAN SO HE WAS NOT IN THE MOVIE. Get that through your thick-skull. The reason you missed Cavill the crackheads atrocious acting is because you don't know what good acting looks like, clearly.

Ouch that really hurts, UltimateDumbFecks, but really you've already proven that you're the idiot repeatedly by contradicting yourself; and by not knowing the difference between Superman and Bizarro. So the juice is no longer worth the squeeze, bitch.
