    So sad he was before my time. Hadn't heard of him before Fahrenheit 451. He was amazing in the movie. And his accent was irresistible. Actually blended well with all the other British actors. I know this seems petty in wake of his death, but just felt like putting it out there.

      His accent was indeed unique, when i saw Fahrenheit 451 at first i thought he had a Welsh english accent as that was the closest thing to what i was hearing.

        I always thought it was German. And I'm usually horrible with European accents. Honestly, I have no idea what Welsh English sounds like exactly.
        Yup, he is from Austria, just found out.

          Even though Austrian and German dialects are quite apart, their accent when speaking English sounds 100% the same.

            I agree, and I find his voice and elocution irresistible.
            No one makes German sound more
            angenehm
            at least to me than Oskar Werner!
