in season 7, i lowkey complained about it not being the same show i fell in love with in the earlier seasons. but man, this is just a whole other show now. can't really call it my favorite anymore. the newest episode is basically like a supernatural version of 'frequency' which i gave up after 4 episodes. i mean, where's all the
good
drama? at this point it's just not as well executed as it used to be and just starting to get cheesy (coming from someone who loves seasons 1-7 although 7 was a bit different but still great nonetheless)
anyone feel the same? -

I disagree tbh. This season has been great, the only thing i'm tired of is the repetitive damon storyline.
I loved every minute of season 7 aswell, season 6 and 5B were the only parts in the entire series that I was just bored as hell while watching

I like 6 but not as much as 7 and 8 so far, and I like 5A with Silas/Tessa. After they die though that season falls hard with Enzo/Augustine and Kathlena. So I agree, I'm loving the season so far but I actually like that we're getting past the point of Damon actually being saved, I think they might kill him next episode.
