Does anyone here know what kind of organ Brian was playing during the Pet Sounds studio sessions and also the live concerts from that time*. You can see the instrument in the movie/documentary "The Beach Boys: An American Band" during the recording of Good Vibrations, when the boys are all gathered around Brian, learning their vocal parts. The organ is very large, like a church organ, but it is white and electric. It has many tiers, levers and controls. You can hear it prominently on (of course) Good Vibrations, Here Today, and Wouldn't It Be Nice.
    Thanks!
I know that Brian retired from live performance with the Beach Boys circa 1965, but there is a film of Brian playing keyboards on "God Only Knows" with the band in maybe '66 or '67. The guys are wearing flower leis so I assume it was in Hawaii 🙂

And crikey, I finally found it. According to the Brian bio "Catch a Wave," he played a three-tiered Baldwin organ that someone gave him.
