I'm not convinced that Emerson is dead. 24 is like thateven when you see characters die on screen, they might not really, you know, be dead. We didn't even see Emerson die on screen. It discretely occurred behind the scenes. And Tony was acting awfully weird at the end of last week's episode, seeing as how he was the one who shot Emerson. Or not. And treated him and saw him die. Ornot.
I kinda wish we knew for sure, though, because I don't really care enough about the show to watch it without him on, but I don't want to miss him if he comes back, either.

Had the same thought! There is now a good chance that Tony & Emerson will work together again if they haven't done so all along.
I did think Emerson was truly shocked when Tony shot him but once Tony explains the why (I'd like to know that too!) and the money involved (presumably there will be lots of money for a bioweapon?!), Emerson will act like the professional he is and they'll team up again.
If not in season 7, then maybe in season 8?
I just want Emerson back
