Must be in part because he's just so young, and was just starting to make a name for himself. Plus he seemed like an actual good guy, not consumed by hubris like a lot of actors are. First movie I saw him in was Like Crazy and that beep had me bummed for days, I guess I'll have to have a Yelchin marathon now.

I understand exactly how you feel. Still doesn't feel real, I didn't appreciate how great he was when he was with us. It makes me thankful for the young actors who are still with us. Praying 2016 backs the beep up and stops taking our greats.

              Agreed.
This is my first time watching Charlie Bartlett since I was a teenager. I loved it back then, but I've forgotten so much about it. The jokes are still making me giggle, but it's kind of bittersweet, to see him so innocent and young.
I don't feel enough for you to cry.
              Oh well.

When my sister brought it up, I was instantly saddened. I really liked him in his movies and considered him to be a pretty good actor. Unlike some actors, I had a feeling he was going to be a big name. Maybe not a Brad Pitt or Tom Cruise, but I saw him having a very bright career in mainstream Hollywood and indie films.

                      My thought exactly.
I can relate with your pain. I usually don't act on social media when a celebrity dies, but this had a weird and sad effect on me. I loved him in every movie, I grew up with him, I am older with two years. I saw him in Hearts in Atlantis, had me in Mr Bartlett, but most of all ripped my heart out in Like Crazy and 9 to 7. I hope Porto will be his last gift for us.
                      Here is to you, Anton!

Firstly its because he seemed so "nice", He just had those sensitive artistic eyes. Unlike young stars who, by flaunting their status and wealth become less appealing, he wasn't anything like that.
secondlythe randomness of it all. It just feels so surreal. One moment you are relaxing in your bedroom, just chilling and fast forward one hour and you cease to exist, by something that happened a few steps away from all that comfort. It feels strange.
When someone overdoses or stuff like that I don't feel
                        so
bad. Cause a part of it is their doing. But this is so surreal.

It is very sad, he had so much promise, just too young.

I agree, I never met him nor would've ever met him but really enjoyed his films.
Maybe it's because i'm the same age i'm not sure but I'm actually a little gutted by his death.
