This is correct. The parentheses are throwing people off. Once the equation inside the parentheses is solved you have 8 / 2(4) which is the same as 8 / 2 x 4 … so you move left to right and end up with 16

8/2(4) = (8/2)4 or 8/2 x (4) = (8/2) x 4 helps to make it a bit clearer I think.

I think it's one. I did the numbers in brackets first - 4. Then they have to be multiplied by the number outside the brackets which is 2, so that gives you 8. 8 divided by 8 is one.
