Despite all the great reviews and my affection for Steve Carroll, I never bothered with the second season of "The Office - An American Workplace" mainly because I found Jim so unlikeable, when the character on which he was based, 'Tim Canterbury' had always been so identifiable and empathetic.
Jim, in contrast to Tim, just seemed very smug and self-assured, which made his constant pranks on his colleagues seem more like the act of a bullying jock who had yet to grow up, as opposed to the actions of a put-upon and self-effacing guy desperately trying to find a way to amuse himself/stop himself going insane within such a dreary environment.
So ultimately Krasinski's performance, or to be fair the writing behind his performance, ruined the show for me by turning what should have been the most relatable/likeable character into a jerk. -

You may not be alone, but you are probably in the 5% that feel this way. There were tons of woman from all ages that drooled just by the mention of his name.
Hey guys. Why don't you pick on someone who is really not nice IN REAL LIFE!
You do know that he was portraying a character don't you. Are you aware of the fact that he never had a role in Hollywood, probably because he hadn't been there that long.
Than comes a producer, as well as Jenna Fischer who wanted him to be Jim so badly) to pick John Krasinski to play that role.
And for Emily Blunt to Marry him. Man, he must be a real jerk Huh? If you knew Emily, just by watching and listening to her over many, many years, she would never have bothered with him unless she found him very special.
So, sorry to shoot down all of your guys. Obviously, you all feel inadequate for some reason.

Why is it that I have to feel inadequate for wanting to punch him in the face? For the record I have never watched that show he was on. The Office? He just has such a douchebag looking face, that's all. This does not come stem from any sense of jealously or whatever, so you can just get the hell out of here with that crap right now. There are ton's of actors in Hollywood who are far more successful than he is who I have absolutely no problem with.

So you gave either your age away, or your intelligence. Both low, no joke. You never saw him on the show but you know his face well enough that
you want to Punch him in the face.
That makes a lot of sense.
Oh wow. I don't know why I get involved with this kind of garbage? Someone makes a blatant idiotic remark. I try to talk some sense into this person, hoping he has the capacity to be logical. Then someone like you, gets involved and I say to myself that I just got involved with some seriously shallow people.
If you have something to say about his work, say it, although it is too late on this thread. But to come on and say you want to punch him in the face. What are you six years old?
If any of you want to add something of worth, then I will respond as well as others but I was dumb enough to start.

It's idiots like you that say "Its only cause you're jealous of him" and then call me stupid and immature cause I don't like the guy. You don't know me at all. My reasons are my own. Guarantee I graduated from a better school than you, make more money, drive a nicer car, etc. So you can call me stupid and immature all you want. It mean's absolutely nothing to me.

Those are only words that you type and you can say anything you want. You, like so many others, sit behind your computer like a coward, as all trolls on all forums do, and have no fear of repercussions from your words.
Oh, and BTW, you brought it up, not me. Before my name, there are two letters. Those letters are Dr.
But that doesn't define who or what I am. The words and actions are the indicators and I have read enough from you to form a solid opinion.
If I said I wasn't going to comment after one of my posts, then I am sorry. If I didn't say that I will now.
I am officially done wasting my time with people who express there displeasure with someone, without ever meeting them, with violence. Good luck. I think you will need it.

Either way I lose here (which I think you wanted in order to feel you have won in your mind) but read the above post. When you comment to people in the future about something they have said in a post, make sure you have read the post carefully ok?
