Smokes quite comfortably in her new film and seems at ease doing so. Most younger actresses who have to smoke for a role end up smoking and was disappointed to see elle Smoking, like her sister.
I hope she actually doesn't -

When actors who are not-smokers smoke on movies, they usually use herbal cigarettes. Which are nicotine-free. For example, Jon Hamm from
Mad Men
would smoke all the time in the show, but he doesn't in real life.
As for the question if Elle smokes. Well, pretty much all of her closest friends and the guys she dated are smokers. So it's extremely likely that she probably already smoked a few times in her life. However, I think she is maybe a social smoker at best. Otherwise we would have heard already reports of people seeing her smoking and things like that. -

Sadly, Smoking happens on set all the time. My friend works on a lot of projects cinematography, and He talks about how much smoking there is all around him. Even Ben affleck smokes, now, and i think that's being surrounded by that. Being around smokers long enough, the second hand effects might draw a person in. and a Social smoker will always lead to heavy smoker, sadly. That's how cigs work. they hook you. Regarding my friend and elle, they've worked together twice. He said She smokes during breaks on set. not herbal. not sure which brand, but they're real. hopefully she stops. They age a woman FAST!

Dakota and Elle are quite comfortable in their on screen smoking and that usually means that the actors is a smoker in real life.
Asides from that, a high number of child actors start to smoke in an attempt to shed t1c84heir kid image.
And you make out that Dakota doesn't smoke but then say she's not a regular smoker, meaning that you think that she is a smoker.

There are pictures of Elle smoking at parties and I've heard from people that Dakota has also smoked at parties. And also considering the fact that Elle and Dakota's friends seem to smoke regularly, so its likely that Elle and Dakota are "social smokers" off screen. -

All of this. They each have definitely tried smoking once in their life just socially. They also are from a generation and city and career path where many smoke weed so I know they've tried that too. They've also both been pretending to smoke on screen since a young age so they at least would be good at it by now. None of this is a big deal and they are acting. Get over it.

I'm the one on this board that continually points out that they party and drink underage and gasp even smoke pot at one point, since 2007 for Dakota and that's a long time of me saying that. I said it when no one else would admit it.
You must be new to these boards. And I'm far older than "kid" kid. -

She actually does smoke. not sure when it started nor how frequently, But my friend mentioned it to me, 2 years ago, when he was working with her on neon demon. not trying to disclose his identity, but He talked with her every day on set during breaks, even went to coachella with her because She wanted Him to film her experience with her friends. I told him to LET ME DO THAT! lol. But he left before I could do it. Sadly, she smokes, and she was doing it back in 2014, so, Hopefully she realizes cigs age a person fast, and stops. but sadly, everybody on sets Smoke! Even if you're a non smoker, On set, you're surrounded by smokers. Everybody smokes, sadly. i hate it!
