I agree with the poster just above. There is no "science" whatever behind this rule, and while it may satisfy the social norm accepted by
some
, definitely not all or even the majority of people, it is purely arbitrary. You seem to think that it is really a "rule" or even society's
law
.
Just as one example, 16d0in any large university you would find professors (some fairly old) that had married their former students or their research assistants, secretaries, etc. You can be sure none of them has followed your "rule". -

Exactly. I don't know if this hgs91 character is a troll, on the spectrum, or just a real uptight stick in the mud, but what's with the guy(?) mentioning the "half-your-age-plus-seven" rule in EVERY FREAKING POST? Kinda cracks me upmakes me imagine him working as a paid schill for some "half-your-age-plus-seven" institute where they pay him to come to these boards and espouse their nefarious agenda in an effort to brainwash the masses (I have a paranoiderm, I mean vivid imagination) lol He's kinda funny, kinda creepy, kinda self righteously annoying (and people claim I'm pretentious lol). Some people, you just want to shake them and be like: Lighten up. Live and let live, dude. Peace, man

Maybe I was born into the wrong era, but all I know is I'm 39 and I've found Abigail hot as hell ever since The Call. I know deep down I'm a good, big hearted person with plenty to offer the world and that's all that matters, whether others see it or not, so if people want to judge me for finding a teen girl attractive, that's their problem, not mine.
Lots of hateful, judgmental people in the world and not enough empathy, tolerance, human compassion, and love. So love who you love. Lust for who you lust for
Just try not to hurt anyone and you'll probably be a better person than 99% of the population. Besides, "normal" is overratedmost people who go on and on about how normal they are and judge others for not being normal - those are the ones I'd be worried about. Just my opinion. People aren't perfect, but at least I own my supposed flaws. I'm like Demi Lovato (another hot, thick girl) or Awkward Black Girl the Awkward White Dude (AWD - get it?) Version lol
