Archived from the IMDb Discussion Forums — Lil Wayne

    jasonmahr — 14 years ago(September 15, 2011 05:51 PM)

KRS-One: "I told Wayne to his face, he's the dopest MC out. Wayne is NICE! Wayne is BANANAS with his lyrics, his delivery, with his whole thing! Lil Wayne is the MAN!"
    fastforward to 31:45
Nas: "I love Wayne" (when asked which artists he listens to)
Kanye West: "Bow in the presence of a true living legend in hip-hop. Lil Wayne the God!"
NORE: "Lil Wayne is my favorite rapper of the new age"
Canibus: N!ga I grew up in D.C., and I love Lil Weezy! Me and Baby got the same name, we probably got the same blood in our veins"
    fast-forward to 10:20
T.I.: "Only Lil Wayne could also be the King of the South"
Fabolous: "I hate to see somebody get locked up, especially someone as talented as Lil Wayne. Wayne is, you know, a strong figure in the hip-hop marketplace, and for him to go away for 8 months, is sad for hip-hop as a whole"
Tech N9ne: "I just want to thank Wayne for even mentioning me. I've been following his career since he started. Just watching him evolvehe was always clever with the rhymes"
    at 1:47
Big Sean: "Lil Wayne really worked his a.ss off for his success man, he's been going hard since he was 13 from the Hot Boys to everything. So he deserves it, he's been working hard. And that's great for him to have longevity in the game
    J. Cole: "The best rapper since Lil Wayne in classes" (referring to himself)
BAM! Game. Set. Match. Too friggin easy.

Lil Wayne = your favorite rapper's favorite rapper
It doesn't matter if you don't respect Wayne, because Wayne has the respect of everyone that really matters - his own PEERS

:Yawn:Wayne got a shout out from KRS one because KRS one was being humble .He a positive dude who is about new generations and seeing them progress. It's not what you say but how you say it that matters the most .I give wayne his props because ill listen to some of his stuff. The bottom line is alot of the stuff he raps about is just filler .He's a club jam rapper he makes club bangers hes good at it and he would be pretty good in a cypher too thats it .He's not on a Jay-z or KRS one level to where he is a god and a legend like those guys .They earned it lil wayne doesnt want to put the work in but feels hes owe1c84d the cred;nice try .
Quality in art is not merely a matter of personal opinion but to a high degree objectively traceabl
