Archived from the IMDb Discussion Forums — Katrina Kaif

I don't care if she is born in Britain or lived there for a couple of years or her mum is from there but she has an American accent!!! Therefore it makes no sense that she is always cast as British characters.
Once again in Mere Brother Ki Dulhan they excused her for her lack of Hindi speaking skills by saying her character is from britain. If she insists on playing british characters then she should at least attempt the accent Oh wait that requires acting which Katrina Kaif cannot do! It's pathetic enough that her Hindi is terrible. When is Bollywood going to wake up?

      I agree, but it's the screenwriter & director's fault.

She doesn't have an American accent either. It's a hybrid of an Indian and an American accent.

          Nothing wrong with that.
How many times Sean Connery played an American where he left bonnie Scotland as a wee boy!!
          Its that man again!!
