why is she always end up as a target of somone on monk?

It just gets old the way they put the girl in danger alot. We all know nothing bad will happen to her character.

Well she was in Potential danger more then once. The big one would be "Mr. Monk and the three Julies" but she was also in Potential danger "Mr. Monk goes to a Fashion Show" and "Mr. Monk and the Birds and the Bees" and possibly in "Mr. Monk and the Red Herring" but that is not many considering she was in 22 episodes.
