Dogs have such short lives and I treated them both as if it could be their last day. Two or three days before she died I bought them a big steak and cooked it up rare. When she threw up and made a mess of the bed and rug I gave her ac hug instead of getting angry that she made a mess. I can't imagine how much worst I would feel if I hit her for making a mess and throwing up
