She is being cast as Rain Arnold in the movie Rain. The movie is being adapted by the book by the same name. V.C. Andrews is the author.

I just hope they don't water it down and completely rewrite bits, as they did with 'Flowers In The Attic.'

YES!! SOOO excited about the prequel that's coming out with the DVD release of the Rain film (it's apparently titled Gathering Storm). I'm confused, though, about whether Sudano is actually going to be in the filmthe movie's website had her listed (along with Robert Loggia in the role of Jake), but now she's not there. Did she back out? What's the deal with this - does anyone know? I think it was listed here on IMDB at one time that Sudano's current/upcoming project was Rain, but just like the mo2000vie's website, now Loggia is the only one listed under cast. They're supposed to start filming November 14kinda difficult without a lead actress, no?
I, too, hope the film version of Rain isn't as pathetic as the film version of Flowers in the Attic. That was just awful

I haven't actually gotten the chance to read Flowers in the Attic yet, nor Have I seen the movie, but I found every novel in the Dollanganger series but Flowers today at Goodwill, so I'm ordering the original from Amazon. I loved the Hudson series as well. So hopefully this will be good.

I was an extra yesterday on "Rain." I believe it was the first day of shooting. The success of this movie is going to depend largely on how Brooklyn Sudano does in the role. She's probably in almost every scene. I hope she does well.
Khandi Alexander of CSI: Miami is playing her foster mother, and she appeared to be giving Brooklyn all kinds of encouragement during the shoot. I saw her and Brooklyn hugging a couple of times when the cameras weren't rolling.
But I do have to say that the scene they were shooting sounded great. Khandi really shined in that particular scene.

                    Same here.. well, almost.
The casting director offered me a small speaking role in Rain, but MOST UNFORTUNATELY I am going to be out of town the week they are filming.
                    Bah.

Just saw the film @ The Palm Beach International Film Festival Brooklyn is GREAT. So are Faye Dunnaway, Giancarlo Esposito, Candy Alexander & Robert Loggio. But the film is decent. Brooklyn was able to keep my attention the entire film. I just wish the screenplay held up a little more
