This is pretty bad. I was on a team that helped women come up with an exit plan. It is, hands down, the most dangerous time in an abusive relationship. This reminded me of talking to the women. A cop helped me get out of my abusive relationship when he came for a call from the neighbor. He stayed while I packed and took me to my friends. I was very lucky in that aspect. I am glad she took action.

Hmm, that actually kinda makes me skeptical. I don't find a lot of religious redemptions sincere.

I think everyone is a bit skeptical, even religious people. Like I said, only time will tell.

The main reason people give him the benefit of the doubt (right now) is the fact that he owned up to being abusive. That's a big step most don't ever really make.
Again, I hope that he does turn things around, but only time will tell.
