I really do hate to agree with the OP, seeing as he comes off as such a douche, but I don't find Jonah Hill all that great111c of an actor either. He maybe a talented comedian and may end up writing hilarious movies, but as an actor not so great (I think the same for Seth Rogan as well).
But mind you I may have a very weird taste in comedy seeing as I am also not a very big fan of Will Ferrell, Adam Sandler or Jack Black either.

My friends and everyone they know make it a point to not watch any movie with Jonah Hill, Seth Rogen, Shia Lebouf, Michael Cera and the rest of the talentless hacks of this awful generation.
You think you and your envious friends not seeing any movies/shows with those guys in them makes a difference to anyone but you?

I'm not a fan of JH, i have tried sitting through his movies but have found that very little times have i even registered his presence in a movie and then if he's in a horrible movie i just can t sit through it- painfully boring. In short: in his best movies he doesn't really contribute to the overall success and in his worst, well, ack.
However i think he might be able to impress a few people if he did some (dare i say it) acting.

It's typical Hollywood nepotism. He's friends with Dustin Hoffman's son.

If you're talented, semi-talented or even barely talented at all and you want to make it in the entertainment biz, being a Jew helps. I'm not being racist or stereotyping at all. It's fact that Jews have the best Hollywood connections.

Yeah, I'd hate to say this but I think it has something to do with being Jewish. Look at all the actors he uses, what do they all have in common beside not being good actors? They're all Jews. What's the deal? So many Jews are great actors why is he using crappy ones?

I'm actually going to agree with you about this guy.
He's perfectly fine if you see him for less than 5 minutes on screen.. sort of like one of those movies' "that guy"s the fact that he's a major actor now is nothing short of mind boggling. The other actors you mentioned are fine except I've seen a lot of movies with Shia in them, the only two I have ever liked are "Holes" and "Disturbia." All it tells me is that he's got potential and perhaps it's just horrid script writing, but everything else I've seen him in is suck.
The thing about these actors are that they should be more of a "type cast" role.. and instead - directors and casting agencies want to exploit the popularity of a particular actor in their prime1908 in an array of genre movies. In turn, the actor gets "played out" (not unlike songs one might hear on the radio for a couple of months straight, 3-4 times a day until you want to throw up after hearing two chords) and the financial draw of these guys ends up making them eventual pariahs of the industry.
I think these actors are too ambitious. If you look at some of the A-list actors, they don't do so many pictures in a short time, they are really spread out in their work and it's carefully chosen. Pick a couple of different genres, see what feedback you get then perhaps stick with it. I know there's a lot of disposable income in hollywood, and people like to jump on it before it fades but the "goods" never fade, they work for DECADES - they are not forgotten. Unfortunately, for these guys - they may not have more than a few more years worth of work before people get sick of seeing them or they go the way of Chris Farley.
and Shia just needs to get a better beep manager/agent.
"It's like I'm Han, you're Chewy, she's Ben Kenobi and we're in that beep up bar!"

I agree 100% with the OP and all the posters who made the Jew comments. All very true.
It's a sad generation we live in, devoid of creativity and individualism. Hollywood just continues to shove these talentless hacks down our throats.
