It is not racism to want your children to look like you

The OP posted in 2007, so maybe it's silly to reply. But there is a post from 2012, so why not?
Anyway, why should it matter if your child "looks like you", as in apparently looks like the same race as you?
I know a guy who's half Mexican, half Scottish ancestry. I don't know him well, so I don't know if his mom or his dad is Mexican. But regardless, he is fair skinned, has dark blonde hair, and blue eyes. Yes, he is half Mexican. Should the family on his Mexican side reject him because he probably doesn't "look like them"?
What if I marry someone of another race as myself, and that child looks more like my hypotheical wife then me? Should I reject the child for not looking like a member of my race?
Apparently you would say "yes" to both statements, using your logic.
Sorry, but if I had children that didn't look like the same race as myself, it wouldn't matter. Regardless if they were my natural children, step children or adopted. -

@tagger
C,mon sisterhe's got ELEVEN grown kids who look like him, and about 10 grandkids. He's got enough people in his fam that look like him already! He's just a racist bastard who thought his son was too good to go out with a black woman, and went off on him about it. I hope they both stayed together just to piss him the hell off! Your reasoning dosen't make any sense at allnobody has any control over what the hell their kids are gonna look like, so there is NO excuse for him in this case. I don't even watch his show because I don't have cable,anywaygood.
