A complete fabrication by some evil record producer, forced onto the public to prevent more talented musicians from getting a break.
It's also a sign of how poorly educated the public at large is about music appreciation.
Sorry, I wouldn't be so brutally honest if I didn't have to listen to his screeching voice all the time at Starbucks.

I'm a fan of some of his music, and I didn't even know he had a new album out until yesterday. I don't think he is overrated, more like underrated, even if you don't like him. You have to admit he deserves more attention than someone like Rihanna or Katy Perry or the Jonas Brothers.
