Don't trigger Mr. Kerr. The Brits say "Full Stop."
BTW, I use the Oxford comma in sentences, phrases, and insults.
Not to worry Drake, Tara couldn't trigger me even on her best day
I have no problem with people using commas as they see fit, I just think that they should be more aware of how they are used by others prior to telling the world the absolutely correct version of use (Which doesn't exist!).

And we say "Punkt".
We don't use the
Oxford comma
.
Except it could be misunderstandable without it.
For example:
He wants to greet his sisters, Ernie and Bert.
That would make Ernie and Bert sisters.
In this case we set a comma too.
He wants to greet his sisters, Ernie, and Bert.
He likes to eat apples, cherries and oranges.
No comma, cause cherries and oranges are clearly no apples. -

Not exactly the English usage:
Luigi likes ravioli, lasagna, spaghetti and meatballs.
No comma because spaghetti and meatballs are seen as one dish.
The Oxford or serial comma is not used much at all any more. I just brought it up because this thread had gone commatose* at one punkt.
*Don't look it up. It's a pun.

elon musk rarely accepts "no" so i think he can play this one of three ways, at least.
- go ahead and drill his 81000 poles. he's elon musk and as the world's richest person, he does what he wants.
- he threatens to move the tesla factory either to hungary or romania and then does it. i'm leaning toward hungary because both musk and baby tyrant Orban are joined politically and philosophically. plus, orban will ensure that the already burdened hungarian taxpayer covers the costs and that Musk/Tesla dont pay any income taxes.
- the German govt realizes that Musk will do #2 and the government rolls over and relents to musk's demands.
** just curious: did the german government make public the terms of Musk's Tesla venture? I'm speculating here, but i dont see this guy NOT having forced the government to provide him personally with massive tax breaks if not outright subsidies.

Ha, the PM of Brandenburg (state of Germany) wanted to give Musk a
'free ride'
.
When the Water Board and environmentalists became active, he promised Musk all support in a public letter.
Outcry across Germany.
Since when are some people
'more equal than equal'
again?!
The PM rowed back (in all
'dignity'
) because he wants to stay PM.
Of course the Tesla factory got subsidies.
So many
'wonderful'
jobs were created (another topic).
It's difficult to give an exact number for the subsidies, because many offices are involved.
And even the purchase price for the Tesla property was suspiciously low.
But the billion funding for innovative development, Tesla wouldn't have gotten anyhow.
Musk withdrew the application, cause the development wasn't new anymore.
Well, Musk isn't stupid…maybe he can take a look at Walmart's fate before his next move.
https://bettermarketing.pub/why-walmart-failed-in-germany-3fdcc6469b89
Walmart allegedly left Germany because they didn't make profits while they were here.
That isn't true and a
'small'
mistake in the otherwise good article.
Maybe the gain wasn't as high as Walmart wanted it to be.
But true, they made a huge loss
WHEN
they left.
Musk probably won't make a loss like that.
The profit from a possible property sale alone should outweigh everything else.
For my part Musk is welcome to leave too.
"So long and thanks for all the fish!"

But maybe I'm a little too stubborn.

Update:
On August 14+16, 2023 seven small towns as members of the Water Board or Water Association submitted applications to vote out their first and second chairmen.
The next meeting will be on September 27, 2023 with a decision on the applications.
The two chairmen are accused of
"past mistakes"
and a
"lack of future orientation"
.
Monsieur Musk is said to have nothing to do with it. ☻
Application for deselection WSE management:
In Schöneiche and Neuenhagen it's rumbling
Mayor Ralf Steinbrück (SPD) from Schöneiche is considered the initiator of the applications to vote out the leadership of the Water Association Strausberg-Erkner (WSE).
Criticism rains down.
There's also unrest in Neuenhagen.
Mayors Ansgar Scharnke (partyless, Neuenhagen, left) and Ralf Steinbrück (SPD, Schöneiche)
are criticized for the WSE motions to vote out of office.
In some communities of the Tesla region there seems to be heavy rumblings about the two motions to vote out the leadership of the Water Association Strausberg-Erkner (WSE) - for example in Schöneiche.

Corruption indeed!
Even
better
:
A pinko county mayor (SPD) is the real mastermind behind the applications to vote out the both Water Association leaders. Some uninvolved pinkos are annoyed now their party loses credibility.
They discuss a vote out of that county mayor.
Well, to be fair I've to mention that 2 of the 7 town mayors who signed the applications are conservatives (CDU). We'll see how those mayors' careers develop. ☻
If it wouldn't be so bad, this all could make a comedy movie.
Working title:
Elon Musk and the 7 dwarfs.

Update:
One of the strongest Unions here started a Tesla sticker action.
Showing slogans like:
"Our Health is more important than Elon's next Billion!"
Now Tesla's lawyers threaten with consequences, up to instant dismissals.
To threaten Unionists is a bad move, Monsieur Musk. ☻
This easily leads to strikes of unprecedented proportions!
You should've read about Walmart's fate more attentively.

I know nothing
of this matter Tara but I'm curious as to how Germany will power the Tesla cars without nuclear, coal or gas provisions.
By gas provisions I mean methane and ethane
