did you know that Blockbuster Video had the chance to buy fledgling Netflix, and they said "nah"? yup, that happened in 2000. i wonder how many former CEOs of the company committed suicide after the fact.

They were also working with Enron to create a streaming video service. Enron booked the profits (or what it thought the profits would be over the next twenty years, there were no actual profits) then the deal fell apart and people got prosecuted by the Justice Department and Enron imploded.

yeah but The 'Buster had coupons and rental bogos so that was better than netflix. but it was nice to get those dvds in the mail with the free return postage. i miss the simplicity of those not too long ago times.

they didn't have the library that netflix had. i used them both but yeah blockbuster did some good marketing. now everything is streaming. i can't even keep track of the services i got and hardly use them.
