All I can say is that Blockbuster Video stores were superior to Prime, Netflix

I think its a bad sign when Blockbuster closed down. In fact, almost every video store has closed around here.
Saying that, I probably wouldn't frequent them as much. Deadlines were a pain in the ass, having to drive 10-15 minutes on a day you didn't feel like it. In 2013, I came back from Australia and got back into movies again, and would rent 6 movies at a time from the library, but after seeing so many, it wasn't worth the drive, to check out movies that didn't pique my curiosity, but since I was there, I'd always get 6, and the quality diminished.
I don't have a good enough connection to stream, unless its YouTube, where I can watch through my "smart" TV. But even with that, my ad-blocker doesn't work, so I use those free trials, and of course, they bank on you forgetting. I usually cancel right away once I know they'll automatically do it for me when the trial period is over.
My biggest problem today is not having any movies I wanna see. I do look for recommendations on here, and used to on IMDB recommendation lists, but IMDB keeps ****ing themselves, but all their ****-ups occurred when Geoff Bozos bought it.
I never got any recommendations from the people at Blockbuster, despite me being such a regular there. Would have been nice. Even a "I saw that", but they might have been told not to be judgemental (human) on the customer's selection.

Maybe it's because my family was never able to rent from Blockbuster, but how would Blockbuster video stores be in anyway superior to streaming sites? The only advantage I could think of was that at least you don't have to worry about certain movies expiring from Blockbuster the way some movies leave streaming services after they lose the rights.

I was just thinking about this and you could see where I left off in my last thread I created. I miss blockbuster so much. I saw a lot of far out stuff you won't ever see on streaming sites which are cheap but because they're so lacking one has to subscribe to a handful of streaming services and end up paying so much more than they would at Blockbuster. I paid $2 and would get two movies. T
