Thats what I though for years with the medias 'last Blockbuster' crap.
In the UK there are a few independants left, and it really is just a few in whole of the UK.
I thought America must have a load of small Mom and Pop video stores left so I did some research a few years back.
These guys made the decision a long time ago to buy the stores and sub-let when trade slowed down. Keep the Video store open but let a nail bar or sandwich counter in to help with footfall.
If you're in the Mid West, you're good.
