Love her, but her face….

I may be wrong, but I think that she's supposed to have that look in her eyes, because she's a Synth, so they are not supposed to have emotions. I haven't seen her in anything else, but I like this show so far! I was thinking that she's a pretty great actress to be able to get that "soul-less" vacant look in her eyes!

She said she's been in "synth training" where they've trained her to be very robot like.
The eyes are the first thing, vacant and hollow and she said, if you notice, whenever she moves, the eyes move first then the body.
It shows how great of an actress she is -

I think the OP here must be 13 or so
You want to see a great actress at work, just watch her transition between Anita and Mia. It's remarkable to watch the consciousness come and go. She's just terrific, in addition to being gorgeous. -

She's quite good but she's no Orphan Black's Tatiana Maslany. Now THAT girl can transition between persona to persona with so much ease, it really does feel like she's part of at least an identical triplet set. Just saying.
Just a theory, but worth pointing out, nonetheless.

I imagine that her ability to portray that feeling had a big part in their choosing her for this role, its simply called acting, even if you're playing a robot.Seems to have convinced you easy enough, synthetic beings most likely cannot even understand emotions, much less portray them in their faces.I,m new to this series and am really enjoying it,especially her role.
