The director was looking at actors such as Ben Mendelson and Mark Rylance for the part. A small list that he thought off the top of his head would be a good fit.
New Line pitched the director the idea of using a younger actor, to which the directb68or was not keen on. But New Line said, "we have a specific actor in mind. Just meet him." So he met Poulter and apparently auditioned him and it all worked out.
So I guess the answer would ultimately be 0.
