I'm sure this has been mentioned before, but how on earth can you say she doesn't look like Lavender, when Lavender's ph

Yeah, but fans complain about everything so I'm not completely surprised. I'm willing to give her a chance. She's very pretty so hopefully she has a good personality and good Lavender acting skills.

Well, as it's already been stated she's not "supposed" to have anything because she's never officially been decribed in the books. I too think Lavender should be pretty- I don't know if it's because she is mentioned as pretty in the books or if I just deemed her that way from her personality. But this actress, in my opinion, is really quite pretty, so I'm quite alright with her. i just hope she's good at being clingy and irritating.

I never pictured Lavender as pretty. Because a) Pretty girls weren't interested in Ron
(He's my favorite, and -I- love him, it wasn't an insult, more factual. Don't worry) and Ron only liked Fleur as a pretty girl. Hermione's not supposed to be attractive in the literal context. People just assume because Emma Watson is, that Hermione was, too. I guess Lavender should fall in between? LikeIf Fleur was exceptionally pretty and Hermione was alright, but her brains made up more of her "beauty", then Lavender should be the transition between the two?

I imagine Lavender as having very pale skin and long blond hair but not being amazingly pretty. I also imagined her as being quite silly and immature which but quite nice. I think the reason she was black in the first film (I don't actually remember there being a Lavender in it but it's been a long time since I watched it) is because they didn't know what was coming later. She was in the first book as a small part so the film makers just put her in. But then she suddnly becomes important and they can't just get the extra who did it in the first place to just take the role. This happened with another character in Harry Potter, although I can't remember who. The reason this happens, is JK Rowling uses very clever plot lines which mean that people or events which are small in the first books might become very important later on. This must make it hard for the film makers because they don't know what will be important later. That's the one problem with making the films be238fore the books are finished- you don't have an overall view of how the story will continue because the final few books haven't been written yet!
