Archived from the IMDb Discussion Forums — Mark Levin

    Destinata — 10 years ago(October 26, 2015 03:05 PM)

Last Friday, someone called in talking about what they thought was Levin's favorite song. "No, that's not my favorite song," Levin corrected the caller. "My favorite is 'You Are So Beautiful,' by Joe Cocker."
Later they played the song, and he told the story behind why it was his favorite: "Every night, when my children were little, I'd tuck them in and sing them to sleep with that song. And when I'd put one of my dogs to sleep for the last time I'd sing them that song. To me, it's a very happy song and a very sad song as well."
We usually hear him scream or be "passionate," as he puts it. But when he shows us his heart, he can make us cry. For a real look at the private Mark Levin, read his book, "Rescuing Sprite," about his beloved dog, and how hard it was to say goodbye.
One day a woman called in and apologized for taking his time. She also admitted she was a liberal, but wasn't there to talk politics. "Last week I had to put my cat to sleep," she said, her vda0oice beginning to shake, "and I was wondering, when does it stop hurting?" The same man who will tell liberals to "Get off my radio!" tenderly took time with the woman, walking her through her grief, and explaining that it wouldn't stop hurting for a long time, but that time does indeed heal.
On Mark Levin's website, there's a section devoted to pets, where people pay tribute to their beloved companions. For anyone who's had to lose a pet, there's a good deal of healing to be had there:

When evil is viewed as good, righteousness is viewed as evil.
