I first got the internet in 2008 (My Folks didn't understand it, they finally gave it when I was a Freshman in High School.) I was just figuring out You Tube at the time, and I was looking up Friday the 13th Stuff as I was trying to become a fan of it and ran into the F13th game video. I was amazed someone made bad games funny and wanted to watch more, so I watched the NOES follow up review and I have been hooked since. All these videos symbolized my life of dealing with crappy games, and I felt a instant connection to them.
Since then I have grown into a fan of his other s238tuff and since 2008 James has become a hero of mine. He made liking entertainment and games look cool, I hope he continues to gain success as it's much deserved. -

I discovered him in I think 2010. I just went on a YouTube-spree and watched some stuff and stumbled upon a Top 10 Movie Monsters video made by him. I watched it and really liked his voice and his in depth information and went on and watched all of the Top 10s, like the best Shoot outs, the best Martial Arts fights, the best Jackie Chan stunts and so on. Then I discovered cinemassacre and spent a couple of days with watching every AVGN episode and every Monster Madness and till now I'm faithful to his site and his YouTube channel. Great guy! Hope there'll be either more recognition for him after the AVGN movie, or at least he's putting new videos out.

Last year, when I first learned of Nightmare on Elm Street game on Nintendo and wanted to see the game-play of it. I saw his video in the top search, but I didn't want to watch it at first since I'm not that big of a fan on reviews in general. I finally watched it when I was curious why that particular video had so many views.
Besides the amount of profanity and waste-related humor, I did enjoy he made some valid points about the games he reviewed and there were some funny parts which made me subscribe him.
Woe to the vacant minds whose mouth runs like rushing water. -

It was a few months ago. I was reading an article about the toughest videogames ever and Battletoads was one of the games listed. I typed it in Youtube, his was the first video. Loved him ever since.

One day I watched Man of Steel and thought, "hm, I wonder when they'll make a good superman game" I remembered playing superman 64 and decided to read about how bad it was on wikipedia. I never got past the first two levels so I decided to see it on youtube. Came across AVGN and the superman 64 review.
I'm telling you, I laughed so hard I cried. Could relate to EVERYTHING he said. I was seriously in tears.
