I discovered him back in 2009 on a myspace forum. Someone posted his Ghostbusters game review and after watching that video I immediately became hooked.

A forum that I was a member of made a thread about him, this was around September of 2006, the first episode I saw was Top Gun.
I watched all of his videos up to that point and enjoyed them, but when he posted the Friday the 13th and Nightmare on Elmstreet videos the following month I knew he was something special and I've been a fan ever since.

I discovered his videos around the same time I discovered the Nostalgia Critic's videos, which was some time between late 2008 and early 2009.

I have loved Nintendo ever since I was a kid in the 80s.
Sadly, I did not take as good care of my consoles and games as James did.
In Spring 2013 I began purchasing and collecting NES Games again and ever since June that year I have once again been a happy owner of an NES.
Upon entering "NES Games Collection" in Youtube, just take a look at the 6th result. 🙂
I have become a fan of his videos ever since!

Something something 2007. Probably via Myspace or a message board somewhere. I remember just eating up those original AVGN videos, couldn't get enough. I've watched a few of them recently and I don't find them nearly as amusing. I do think he still holds some value as far as opinionated YouTubers go. His non-AVGN videos can be enjoyable and he clearly has a love for horror, which I appreciate.
Anyone here mentions Hotel California dies before the first line clears his lips.
