    Holy macril!
Finally someone voiced what I have always tried to tell people; ENGLISH PRONUNCIATION IS MESSED UP!
The words are just fine (for the most part), but the pronunciation is really, really messed up.
Rolfe made a great video, and he made very good points, exactly the ones I have also tried to make at one time or another. Why 'knife', when it's pronounced without the 'k'?
Though no one cleared the mystery as to WHY it's so messed up, why would there be a 'knife' instead of 'nife', and why is the letter "i" sometimes pronounced like in the word 'hive', and sometimes like in the word 'hit' - it's the same friggin letter, for crying out loud!
I never noticed any problems with Rolfe's pronunciation, though. Review - I didn't even know it was supposed to be pronounced that odd way. The 're + view'-pronunciation makes more sense.
Bury? Well, I always wondered how it's supposed to be pronounced, because the Americans seem to pronounce things in different ways. I've heard it pronounced as 'berry', but never did I think saying it as 'bury' would have been or sounded wrong.
I don't have a problem with different kinds of pronounciations, like "New Orleans" (the way New-Yorkians pronounce it, is VERY different from New Orleanians' way of pronouncing it), but the english pronounciation being so messed up as a WHOLE.
And that seemed to bug him as well - so it was a great episode to watch. Short, sweet, and to the point.
Who knew that James Rolfe would still produce something surprisingly good?
