Jena Malone is the one that stood out in the film the most, but Abbey Lee is just unique and simply disturbed in every levels. She doesn't need to say anything much, her facial reaction is just beyond speechless.

I loved her too. I have a minor complaint though: in the original script Sarah already has a relationship with the photographer character played by Desmond Harrington. It was a mistake changing this (in the movie they first meet at the final photoshoot) because this would have given her more motivation, character development and a reason to be jealous of Jesse. Even with this she was my favourite actress in the movie and I will definitely keep an eye out for her in the future.

Well- stated. It's hard to recall the last time I've seen such an arc of character development from a supporting cast member done so well.
I've posted several times on TND's production and other aesthetic/technical qualities. Those alone are a reason to specifically see the movie in the theater. However, in the final analysis (after one viewing, and letting the memory of this movie simmer) it's Abbey Lee's performance that is a reason to watch it again.

I think her being a really experienced model helped her with the role. I mean there's a video of her being publicly shamed backstage at Lanvin by the designer, and he ends up making her cry.
She was known for being a bit of a bitch because she hates her job in modelling, so i think that's why it emotes so well in the film. She's pulling from real life.
