Why has Joanne Rowling never published a book under her own name?

She's published many books under the sexually ambiguous moniker J.K. Rowling, as well as seven books under the fake ass name Robert Galbraith.
Is she trying to trick the public into thinking that the books they are buying are penned by a male author? Is she, in fact, presenting as male, particularly with the Galbraith novels?

Definitely. Posted that when the board was having a long discussion about her views on transgender people and thought for a minute it was a decent point or an example of hypocrisy on her part. I then found out she'd used J.K. because the publisher didn't think young boys would read a book by a woman. She's not the first and probably not the last. So, yeah, I won't defend this point.
