He was always the best option among the contenders.
The best actor by far.
The one who looked like Peter Parker the most.
And he's also a fantastic dancer which means he'll be able to pull off most of Spidey's stunts.
So, all in all, I'm pretty happy about this choice.

bubblebobo> I'd say looks matters at least a little. it depends on the character and I'd say Spider-Man, who is iconic even among icons, is one of them.
And a black Blade in the movies? How different from the black Blade of the comics. -

Marvel hardly goes wrong, but I don't want high school Peter and I thought Andrew Garfield was the perfect Spider-Man.
But who knows? I've never seen this kid before and he might have chops.
What A Lovely Day.

Personally I think he has the spidey look more so than Maguire or Garfield, hopefully he's the first to nail both Peter Parker and Spiderman, where his predecessors IMO only nailed one or the other.
Marvel hasn't beep up a casting so far, I trust them and am keen to see him on screen. -

Think he is going to be superb He is really young looking and his Instagram videos show amazing gymnastic skills. His dance training will also help give a more graceful look in his Spider-Man moves and everyone wo has worked with him have nothing but good things to say. This kid will be the definitive Spider-Man and he will be in the Marvel universe.
