This could be a very good thing. There's a lot of positive potential here. The only drawback, and it's a big one, as you mentioned, the tie to Amazon.

I'm in two minds, really. I like him as a director for the most part but I'm not as high on the Dune films as most (they're good, just not great in my eyes) and, as much as I liked the Daniel Craig films, I did want this Bond to be a more traditional old-school back-to-basics offering and I don't think Villeneuve will provide that.

Absolutely brilliant Director. Extremely talented and visionary.
But even after stating that, the film is doomed.
Bond is Dead.
I dont mean cause Daniel Craig got offed in the last one.
I Mean because of political correctness and DEI, Bond will be a Gay Black Short Man with a Bald( no hair) head. In order to appeal to the loud 5 % Coalition out there.
The only poster who had his account banned 4 times without ever breaking any rules each of those times.
