I wonder if that is just the case for your PBS station or for all of them? Since each PBS station is different, it might not affect them all. What do you think?
Please excuse typos/funny wording; I use speech-recognition that doesn't always recognize! -

I'm afraid not. I put a post about this on I Need To Know also, and I received a link to another PBS station, stating the same thing GA PBS said, this past Saturday.
This is a copy of the article from the Rhode Island PBS. I tried to make a copy of the link i was given but it wouldn't work, so I copy and pasted the entire story.

Are You Being Served? Not Anymore, According to Producer
In news that shocked us at Rhode Island PBS - and, in fact, rippled across all BritCom fandom on American public television - the perennial favorite, Are You Being Served? will be pulled from broadcast effective September 17.
It seems the decision has come from beyond the grave from series creator David Croft himself - or at least from the agent for Croft's estate. The program's distributor, BBC, is stunned as well. Word has it talks had been ongoing behind the scenes for about a year to keep the series licensed, but apparently the decision to terminate broadcast rights never really wavered and it is final. There is nothing any of us can do. Wow.
We at Rhode Island PBS fully acknowledge that there is no suitable replacement for the 69 episodes of snickers and knickers (and double-entendres) in 10 seasons at Grace Brothers. However, we will do our best, and ask for your patience and understanding during this transition. Are You Being Served? has been on our air consistently for the past 10 years, and on and off for more than 20 years. We even hosted a visit by John Inman in our studios in March 1994. That is quite a history and a beloved tradition.
Members of the Rhode Island PBS Brit Club will have an unexpected opportunity to choose which available series will go into our schedule. Members, please watch your email for news about the ballots and voting. -

That is sad news. It is a comedy show that can just run and run as it is so watchable. I think the best thing to do would be to invest in the 10 series on dvd. Amazon.com have the complete collection for $62.99 which I think is really good value.

*** UPDATE***
BREAKING NEWS - AGAIN
As of September 12, 2013, the owners of the broadcast rights for Are You Being Served? have come to their senses and agreed to license the series to PBS stations again. This is the content of an email we received from the distributor today:
Subject: Are You Being Served? / Are You Being Served? Again! / Allo Allo
Date: Thu, 12 Sep 2013 13:33:54 +0000
I am pleased to announce that effective today the three titles in the header of this email have been returned to our active sales catalog after having been held hostage by an agent for one of the writers.
This is certainly good news for all.
Yea. Great news. Scrambling to get program schedules re-re-aligned is a minor inconvenience to keep fans in our audience happy! So, we're back to our regular schedule the staff at Grace Brothers be at your service for the foreseeable future Monday through Friday at 7:30 p.m.
Strike that previous announcement!

You're right. About time they came to their senses!
My husband and I watched it on the GA PBS that serves Augusta, GA. And we were both saddened to learn it would not be on any more. They replaced it three weeks ago with a brit-com called the "Cafe," and after only three episodes, my husband I have not found it funny at all.
I just hope the local GA PBS station in Wrens, GA will be able to get it again. -

Don't worry, no-one in the UK found it funny either; I think it's disappeared without trace!
Our PBS outlet is back to shoving it down our throats, after completely gutting their Britcom block two years ago; we were down to As Time Goes By and Keeping Up Appearances until recently, then both of those got yanked and now we have Waiting For God (which I was happy to see return) and The Cafe (which I was not). Truly limp show which tries to be 'modern sitcom' style clever and fails horribly. I keep praying the station will come to its senses and remove and replace with either another classic Britcom or a new one which is actually funny. -

Fans of AYBS may care to search on You Tube for "Are You Being Served Down Under", aka AYBS Australia. John Inman went over and filmed it for the Ten Network, with an Aussie cast. If (like me) you can almost recite the British lines along with the cast, it is interesting to compare and contrast the new scripts with the old ones - although next to nothing must have been spent on writers, as many are word-for-word the same! In fact, Inman got so confused that the cast had to wear name-tags to stop him using their old names, eg Mrs. Slocombe for Mrs. Crawford etc.

There was
almost
an American version, "Beane's of Boston." A pilot was taped, but it never sold. John Hillerman (from
Magnum, PI
) was Capt. Peacock, Charlotte Rae (Mrs. Garrett from
Diffrent Strokes
and
The Facts of Life
) as Mrs. Slocombe, Alan Sues (
Laugh-in
) as Mr. Humphries, and Tom Poston as store owner Mr. Beane.
