I bought a copy a few months back, but haven't watched it, yet. I'm planning on bearing down in the very near future.
I'm sure it will not be an unmemorable moviegoing experience.
Has anybody seen this one?

Is it tiring to watch? How many sittings did it take you to see the whole thing?
Does it have elements of Fassbinder's trademark masochism? Judging by the storyline, it looks like it would.

Is it tiring to watch?
Not really. It was made for television so it is like watching any miniseries.

I don't know. I probably sometimes watched two episodes in a single sitting.

Yeah, I guess so. The main character does seem to take insult and abuse so well you might think he enjoys it. -

I tried once, but it was SO long, and the first episode was pretty slow. I've seen at least a dozen of Fassbinder's movies.

What are your favorites?
My two favorites are the super heavy duty "In a Year With 13 Moons" and the bittersweet, moving "Ali: Fear Eats the Soul". I have not seen one of his films that I didn't like, "Querelle" being the most difficult to access.

I love Fassbinder and sometimes can relate to him. Poor slob.
Though 15 hours is daunting. If I watch two episodes a week, I can be done before Halloween.

Schrodinger's Cat walks into a bar, and doesn't.
